Dress Code
Dress Code
Our school community believes in a dress appearance that sets a tone conducive to learning and is acceptable within the broader community. Students are expected to present themselves appropriately for a place of learning.
The following are guidelines for acceptable dress in schools:
Pyjamas are only permitted on PJ Days.
Students will be asked to remove piercings, jewellery or accessories if they are deemed unsafe for physical activity.
Hats are to be removed inside the school, unless part of a special activity day.
Shoes must be worn at all times (flip flops are not permitted for safety).
Children must wear clothing appropriate for activity for safety reasons.
- Running shoes are required for use in the gym and on climbing structures.
- Clothing with drawstrings at the neck is also not permitted on the climbing structures.
- Once the temperature drops, students are reminded to dress appropriately for outdoor play. This may include a warm hat, mitts, coat, boots and snow pants.
The administration shall have the discretion to apply this code – weighing safety, modesty and the circumstances of each individual case.
